ID Document: ID document establishes the ID of an applicant. Please indicate this as “Document type” if the attachment for submission is an ID document used to identify the individual by name or nationality or residency. Examples of ID documents are Passport, National ID card, etc

Regulation-Based Photograph

  • Definition: A regulation-based photograph complies with the specific requirements set by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC).
  • Document Type: If the attachment is a regulation-based photograph, label it as "Regulation-Based Photograph." If there are multiple photographs, specify the number, e.g., "2 Regulation-Based Photographs."

Non-Regulation-Based Photograph

  • Definition: A non-regulation-based photograph does not adhere to the specific requirements set by CIC and typically includes personal photographs.
  • Document Type: Label such attachments as "Non-Regulation-Based Photograph." If there are multiple photographs, specify the number, e.g., "10 Non-Regulation-Based Photographs."
  • Examples: Wedding photographs, travel photographs, event photographs, etc.

Evidentiary Document

  • Definition: Evidentiary documents are items submitted as proof or evidence and are not forms or letters.
  • Document Type: Label these attachments as "Evidentiary Document." If submitting multiple documents, indicate the number, e.g., "2 Evidentiary Documents."
  • Examples: Travel tickets, invitations, bills and payment receipts, event brochures, travel itineraries from airlines or other carriers, leave application approvals, etc.

Client Declarations

  • Definition: Client declarations are formal statements provided by clients, distinct from forms, letters, or photographs.
  • Document Type: Label these attachments as "Client Declaration." Each declaration must be submitted separately with a clear description, e.g., "Client Declaration – Non-Representation."

Other Document

  • Definition: Other documents are any client documents that do not fall into the categories of forms, letters, photographs, or declarations.
  • Document Type: Label these attachments as "Other Document." Each document must be provided separately with a clear description, e.g., "Other Document – Divorce Application."
