Q&A on Zoom with your Canadian Authorized Representative

A free weekly Q&A with a licensed Canadian immigration professional

Every Friday, Joy Stephen — a licensed Canadian immigration practitioner, Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant CICC R419719 — answers immigration questions live on Zoom, free of charge, for clients and prospects anywhere in the world. It has run for years and it is the simplest way to put a real question to the person who would actually represent you before Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.

People bring questions about Express Entry and their CRS score, the Provincial Nominee Programs and which province fits their occupation, LMIA and employer-driven work permits, study permits, spousal sponsorship, and — more than anything — their NOC: the occupation code that decides which programs are open to them. Questions are answered in general terms, without identifying anyone, so nobody has to disclose their case in front of others.

There is nothing to register for. The direct link, the meeting ID and the passcode are on this page, the time is shown in your own city, and the button beside your time opens the meeting when it starts. If you are a client, this is free access to your Authorized Representative in addition to your paid service; if you are a prospect, it is the honest way to judge a representative before you hire one.

Start with the most important step: your NOC

Before you explore any Canadian immigration program in detail, know your NOC (National Occupational Classification). Many applications are delayed or refused simply because the job duties do not match the selected NOC code — the most common and avoidable mistake in the whole process. Complete the free NOC evaluation first: https://cigap.ca/noc. It identifies the correct NOC from your actual duties and shows your eligibility across Canada.

Then attend the Authorized Representative Q&A

• Prospects: please watch the immigration YouTube videos before attending any free Q&A.
• Clients: bring any question. Paid access to your AR matters, but this is a free meeting.
• Come with your questions ready to post in the chat. They are answered in general terms without identifying you, and are not in open view of other participants.
• This is a Q&A, not an information session. Canada offers several pathways — ask and learn.
• Sessions are free and scheduled long-term; if the AR is called away, join the following week.
