Supports increase for Island students and more healthcare programs become eligible, released by Prince Edward Island on 24 July 2025

Prince Edward Island has announced increased financial support for students and expanded eligibility for in-demand healthcare programs. The George Coles Bursary and the Marion L. Reid Grant will increase by $300 to $3,500 per year for up to four years (maximum $14,000). The grant will now cover additional degree programs including Dentistry, Paramedicine, Occupational Therapy, and Physiotherapy starting in the 2025–26 academic year.
